Leontyne Price Musical Park Ribbon Cutting
Join us for the ribbon cutting for Leontyne Price Musical Park!
The Leadership of Jones County graduates that compose the group Treblemakers invite the public to the opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of the Leontyne Price Musical Park, formerly, Leontyne Price Park.
Leontyne Price is the internationally acclaimed soprano from Laurel, MS. She received Grammy Awards, starred in countless works, with many debuts on the worldʼs largest stages, including The Metropolitan Opera House.
The park now features a Weenotes Ensemble, as well as a small Babel Drum and a Musical Bench created by local children and Central Creativity; which is the only one of its kind in the state. Funding for these additions was a collaborative effort by sponsors, donations, and fundraising. Team Treblemakers is excited to unveil such an amazing addition to Downtown Laurel, and Jones County.
